Smith PTO Membership
A great education isn't only about teachers and schools. Parental involvement in a child's educational experience is extremely important. When parents get involved, they help build a true "school community" where children can thrive. A great way to learn more about Smith School and to get involved is to register with the PTO.
The purpose of the Smith PTO is to support and enrich the educational process by offering classroom volunteer support and by providing funding for special projects, enrichment programs and social activities.
Registration is $15 per family, which helps support the many programs, activities, supplies and more.
The PTO affords many opportunities for you to get involved at school through volunteering or running events, donating or baking items and being a room parent or library helper. Events occur not only during the school day, but also at night.
Membership is required for participation in Fun Fridays, Ski Club, and 8th Grade Events.
Thank you for your ongoing support and commitment!
If I join, do I have to?
- Go to meetings?
No. You are welcome to attend our general meetings though. - Volunteer or spend a lot of time at school?
Nope! Joining the PTO is not the same as volunteering. If you choose to volunteer we would LOVE the help—but volunteering is not required.
