Smith PTO Membership

A great education isn't only about teachers and schools.  Parental involvement in a child's educational experience is extremely important.  When parents get involved, they help build a true "school community" where children can thrive.  A great way to learn more about Smith School and to get involved is to register with the PTO.

The purpose of the Smith PTO is to support and enrich the educational process by offering volunteer support and by providing funding for special projects, enrichment programs, social activities, scholarships, field trip subsidies, and more.

Registration is $40 per family, which helps support the many programs, activities, supplies and more.

The PTO affords many opportunities for you to get involved at school through volunteering, chairing events, chaperoning, donating or baking items, and more.  Events can occur both during the school day and at night.

Membership is required for participation in Fun Fridays, Ski Club, and 8th Grade Events.

 If I join, do I have to?

• Go to meetings?
  No, but we would love to have you! And meetings are the best way to stay in touch with all of our ongoing efforts. 
  
  
• Volunteer or spend a lot of time at school?
  Nope! Joining the PTO is not the same as volunteering. If you choose to volunteer we would LOVE the help—but volunteering is not required. Click here to check out volunteer opportunities!
